In partnership with Unique Places to Save, we’ve completed over 100 stream, wetland, and habitat projects across 10 states and raised more than $4 million in stewardship funds—ensuring every project achieves lasting ecological and regulatory success.

COMMERCIAL FARMLAND CONSERVATION CONSULTING

Terra Alta provides conservation consulting for International Farming, securing major conservation funding for large agricultural properties in California, Washington, and Florida. We have helped obtain two grants totaling $11.8 million to protect nearly 1,100 acres of farmland in California and Washington. Terra Alta has also submitted a Florida Forever grant application, now under consideration, to permanently protect the 3,730-acre Crow’s Nest Property in Florida.

LOCAL FARMLAND CONSERVATION CONSULTING

Terra Alta is proud to assist the Village of Corrales, New Mexico, in investing $2,000,000 in bond funding for farmland preservation. This is the third voter-approved farmland bond cycle and the third round in which Terra Alta has played a role. Through this effort, more than 70 acres of prime, irrigated farmland have been permanently conserved in one of the fastest-growing areas of New Mexico. The Farmland Preservation Program is helping protect increasingly scarce farmland and vital water rights from the pressures of expanding development.
