Through our partnership with Unique Places to Save, a nationally active non-profit organization dedicated to protecting land and water resources, we administer, operate, and promote their Stream, Wetland, and Endangered Species Mitigation Conservation Program.
We provide the technical expertise and operational management needed to make the permanent conservation of mitigation projects successful. Every project reflects our commitment to excellence, compliance, and enduring conservation value.
To date, we have completed over 100 conservation transactions in 10 states, raising nearly $4 million in permanent stewardship endowments that ensure these restored lands are protected in perpetuity.

Mitigation Bank Endowment Management for NextEra Energy
Terra Alta, on behalf of Unique Places to Save, manages stewardship endowment funds for multiple mitigation banks developed by NextEra Energy including the Great Pee Dee Mitigation Bank in South Carolina. Our work ensures the long-term protection and management of restored stream, wetland, and riparian habitats, providing enduring ecological and financial stability.
Conservation Easement Projects for RES
Terra Alta has completed numerous conservation easement projects in collaboration with Resource Environmental Solutions (RES), the nation’s largest nature-based solutions provider. Working together, we have helped secure and manage long-term land protections across 24 mitigation banks, delivering lasting ecological benefits and financial stewardship for future generations.

Terra Alta has partnered with Naturion—an industry leader in wetland and stream mitigation banking—to execute 14 conservation easement transactions supporting their restoration and land-protection initiatives.
